Staged Products
The Topographic Maps and geographical information system (GIS) data provided in The National Map are pre-generated into downloadable products often available in multiple formats. The vector datasets include: The National Hydrography Dataset(s), Watershed Boundary Dataset, Governmental Boundary Units, Transportation, Structures, Elevation Contours and Geographic Names. Raster datasets include: Digital Elevation Models (DEMs), Orthoimagery, and Land Cover. Lidar point cloud data is also available over many areas of the US.
ArcGIS Web Application. The ArcGIS Book series presents a new way of learning and teaching GIS that leverages the world of geospatial information that is available online. Live maps and apps, videos, and hands-on lessons combine to illustrate the power and simplicity of a modern GIS.
- To create maps in various output formats, we can use Web Map Service (WMS) with it. Few Key Features: OpenLayers, a free mapping library, is integrated into GeoServer. GeoServer is built on GeoTools, an open-source Java GIS toolkit. Offers nicely styled maps. Additional functionality added via extensions.
- Scribble Maps is an easy to use online GIS/Mapping platform that has a very low learning curve to help you make better decisions. Upload spreadsheets, filter data, geocode, route optimize, create annotations, collaborate, measure distances, create interactive maps, visualize and more!
